ViroPharma, now part of Shire, was a ground breaking pharmaceutical firm that researched and developed treatments for a number of serious illnesses and especially viruses. The firm’s expertise has now been entirely acquired by Shire and so their legacy continues.

Overview
The specialist nature of ViroPharma’s work was matched by a number of specific needs when it came to the design of their offices. Fresh Workspace won the contract to redesign the firm’s offices as part of an intensely competitive tender process. The pioneering approach of the business was reflected in an open collaborative workspace in which nobody had a private office and the provision of meeting rooms reflected the importance of 1-to-1 communication and quiet work. The firm’s core mission was reflected in the use of appropriate imagery on digital wallpaper throughout the space.
